Sleeping Lady Soaps was named after a local mountain on the coast of Northern California near where I grew up.
Mount Tamalpais was affectionately nicknamed "The Sleeping Lady" because of its silhouette which resembled that of a woman peacefully sleeping.
"How glorious a greeting the sun gives the mountains!"
- John Muir
My name is Annalee:
Part-time soap peddler.
Full-time child wrangler.
When I’m not wrangling children, I’m finding the time to make simple, skin loving bath and body products.
Making these products let’s me unwind from the busy life of a stay at home mom. It also lets me create amazing products that are nourishing and beneficial to me and my family’s different skin types.
I grew up in a small, eclectic, coastal town in Northern California and now live with my husband and two kids in rural Middle Tennessee.
Growing up in a small town instilled in me a sense of pride for my community. With that sense of pride, I try to support my community whenever possible by sourcing my ingredients from other local businesses.
Check out the "Supporting Local" section to find out where Sleeping Lady Soaps is sourcing it's ingredients from.
Simple means using the most basic and natural of ingredients .... Afterall, soap should be straightforward and to the point.
